APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR ACRYLIC POLYOLS

Acrylic polyols can be used with an NCO/OH ratio of 1:1 acrylic polyol can be mixed with conventional hardeners like Desmodur N75 the recent description and with aliphatic hardeners. The mixing ratio and 100:20 can be followed. Alcoholic solvents must not be used as thinners. For faster curing, catalysts like DBTL can be added. However, the effect on pot life should be studied in such cases. Typical doses are 0.001% on resin solid.

Pot Life: Typically to one day if stored in proper conditions. To enhance the catalysts and performance, the use of catalysts like dibutyltin laurate and UV absorbers is recommended.

RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS

Acrylic polyols are used as a resin for formulating the following coatings: Maintenance coatings for tanks, Plant equipment offshore structures. Transport finishes for Trucks, Bases, and Ships.
